Four ways to take your fajitas to the next level!

Mix it up: We all love steak and chicken fajitas, but why stop there? Try shrimp, fish, pork or even tofu fajitas! Also, don’t just stick to bell peppers and onions. Zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, cabbage, and even pineapple make for delicious fajitas ingredients.

Get your Seasoning on: Fajitas are easy to make at home by just sautéing your favorite meat and veggies together. Don’t forget the most important part of making tasty fajitas is seasoning! Chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, cumin, red pepper, brown sugar, lime, honey, and more. The possibilities are endless, so choose a few favorites or try them all!

Top it: Fajitas are traditionally served with sour cream, shredded Mexican cheese, guacamole and pico de gallo. Try going gourmet on your toppings by using cojita or feta cheese, mango or corn salsa and spiced sour cream or red pepper guacamole.

Lighten it up: Fajitas are already one of the healthier Mexican dishes, but to make it even healthier, try swapping out sour cream for Greek yogurt, flour tortillas for corn or whole wheat tortillas, and use olive oil to sauté your vegetables and meat.
